Why It Matters
In 2003, the Ministry of Health recognized that traditional fee-for-service models didn’t fully support academic physicians contributions to patient care, medical education, and research. The AHSC AFP was introduced to enhance compensation for physicians working in university-affiliated teaching hospitals. Through effective management, we help academic physicians focus on what matters most—delivering exceptional care, advancing medical knowledge, and training the next generation of healthcare professionals.
