Professional Development Program
Overview
All SUMO physicians are eligible to apply for PD support.
- Practice plan members (non-Management Committee) can receive up to 50% of the cost of an approved activity, to a maximum of $5,000.
- Management Committee members are eligible for up to $10,000 in PD funding.

Application Process
- PD funding requests for the 2026/27 fiscal year are due by March 15, 2026. In-year requests may be considered.
- Applications must include a budget.
- Matching support (from personal or external sources) is required for non-Management Committee applicants.
- Pre-approval is required before attending any course or conference.
Submission Process
Practice plans are responsible for collecting and coordinating the submission of all applications from their members.
