Management Committee

Our Management Committee governs the organization and is responsible for overseeing the administration, operations, and strategic direction of the organization in alignment with the AFP Agreement. Comprised of key representatives from SHS, UHN, the University of Toronto, and member practice plans, the committee ensures transparency, accountability, and efficient allocation of funding. It plays a critical role in overseeing the negotiation of agreements, financial planning, and fostering collaboration between hospitals, universities, and provincial healthcare bodies. Additionally, the committee establishes policies, oversees reporting and compliance, and ensures effective governance to support high-quality clinical and academic activities. Through strategic leadership, the Management Committee helps shape sustainable healthcare funding and operations within Ontario’s medical community. The committee typically meets twice per year and delegates many authorities to its Executive Committee.
